Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA)
  • Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) supports people with SCI by offering a range of services including: NDIS support, policy and advocacy, Neuromoves exercise, peer and family support, accommodation, and employment services.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is run by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The NDIS is available to Australians who were either born with or acquire a permanent and significant disability. They fund reasonable and necessary supports and services that relate to a person's disability to help them achieve their goals

Rural Spinal Cord Injury Service (RSCIS)
  • The Rural Spinal Cord Injury Service (RSCIS) operates as part of a “hub and spoke” model with the SOS to support people with SCI across the Northern NSW Local Health District. The coordinator provides a link between rural clinicians, rural SCI clients, and specialist metropolitan spinal cord injury specific services.

Hunter Spinal Cord Injury Service (HSCIS)
  • People with SCI living in the Hunter/New England area, will be referred to the Hunter Spinal Cord Injury Service (HSCIS) for outreach services.

  • The NIISQ funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who have sustained an eligible serious personal injury in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland.

Paediatric Rehabilitation (Kids Rehab WA) at the Perth Children’s Hospital
  • The Paediatric Rehabilitation service provides rehabilitation services for children and adolescents with acquired or congenital neurological impairments including spinal cord injuries. Their clinical services include inpatient rehabilitation, the iRehab Intensive Day Rehabilitation Program, and outpatient rehabilitation services.

  • Spinal WA brings together agencies and stakeholders in Western Australia with an interest in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) to work collaboratively and enhance communication between organisations and the spinal injured community.
